E lias Cohn joined the ERC in July 2017 as the Strategic Initiatives Coordinator. The Strategic Initiatives branch of the ERC is dedicated to identifying new opportunities to advance civil rights causes outside the organization’s traditional realms of fair housing and accessibility. In this role, Eli’s job is to continue to expand the ERC’s civil rights testing in new spaces, including language access and immigrant rights, LGBTQ rights, and fair employment. Eli previously worked as the Fair Housing Coordinator at Housing Counseling Services, Inc., where he worked with service providers, as well as consumers and landlords, to identify and respond to discriminatory housing practices.
