Local jurisdictions in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC are joining forces to address fair housing issues in the region. The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and eight local government partners have launched a survey to collect feedback from residents about their experiences with fair housing and finding a place to live. Data from the survey will go toward a Regional Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice, which will help the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ensure that everyone in and around DC has a chance to live in a safe and affordable home!
The survey is anonymous and takes just three minutes to complete. Do you part to advance fair housing in the region and take the survey now! It is also available in Spanish here.
Jurisdictions involved in the plan include the District of Columbia; Montgomery County and the City of Gaithersburg in Maryland; and Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William counties, and the City of Alexandria in Virginia. The ERC sits on the Community Advisory Committee for the effort.
