ERC Announces Launch of the Equal Rights Learning Center
NEW LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WILL SERVE AS AN ONLINE EDUCATIONAL PLATFORM
WASHINGTON, D.C., July 1, 2013 — Today, the Equal Rights Center (ERC) is proud to announce the launch of the Equal Rights Learning Center®, a new Learning Management System that will become the primary online educational platform for the ERC.
The primary benefiter of this new platform will be the ERC’s unique Multifamily Housing Resource Program (MHRP). The MHRP is a membership program within the ERC’s Corporate Partnerships & Training Program that offers industry leaders in multi-family housing development, construction, and management, as well as architectural firms with design expertise, and product or service vendors and subcontractors a proactive approach to housing accessibility. The ERC provides MHRP members with a full array of training opportunities, including in-person sessions, e-learning segments, and webinars.
“The MHRP is very excited to implement this innovative online Learning Management System,” said Victoria Lanteigne, Corporate Partnerships and Trainings Manager. “This platform will be another value-added feature to our MHRP members who represent more than 600,000 housing units nationwide, and continue to prove that effective training can help promote equal opportunity in housing.”
The Equal Rights Learning Center® will be home to the ever-growing online training component of the MHRP. Some of the features available in the platform include:
Allowing the ERC to host e-learning courses, webinars and chats available to MHRP members;
Enhancing data collection and outcome analysis of e-learning courses;
Saving course completion certificates for individual users; and
Integrating a “chat room” that allows users to communicate with one another.
The Equal Rights Learning Center® will be adapted for use by other ERC program areas over time, with tailored courses, webinars and e-learning segments for each program area.
