By Metro

The ERC is located at 11 Dupont Circle, in N.W. Washington, D.C., on the corner of New Hampshire Avenue and Dupont Circle, which is accessible by bus and METRO (Red Line, Dupont Circle station). When taking the metro, you may exit the station using either the North or South exits. Both the North and South Dupont Circle metro exits are approximately 1 block from Dupont Circle and the Equal Rights Center.

When approaching Dupont Circle, look for the dark brown brick building with the "Books-A-Million" sign on it -- that is 11 Dupont.  Take the entrance to the building on the corner of New Hampshire Avenue, opposite the Jurys Hotel.  Sign the visitors book in the lobby and take the elevator to the fourth floor. 

By Car

Street parking is usually available and there is a parking garage, which is accessible from New Hampshire Avenue. The rates of the parking garage are:

Monday-Friday : 1st hour--$9; Maximum up to 12 hours--$15; Flat rate after 5 p.m.--$9

From the South (Virginia)

Take I-395 N (signs for Tysons Corner/Washington/I-395 N/I-495). Take exit 8B to merge onto VA-27 N/Washington Boulevard toward Arlington Cemetery/Rosslyn/Pentagon. Continue to follow Washington Boulevard entering the District of Columbia. Take the exit toward US-50 W. At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto Arlington Memorial Bridge. Make a slight right at Lincoln Memorial Circle S.W. Turn left at 23rd Street N.W. Continue on 23rd Street for a .8 mile. At Washington Circle N.W. take the 3rd exit onto New Hampshire Avenue N.W.  Turn right at Dupont Circle N.W.

From the West (Virginia)

Take I-66 E. Take exit 64A to merge onto Capital Beltway/I-495 S toward Richmond. Take exit 50 A-B to merge onto Arlington Boulevard/US-50 E toward Arlington. You will be on this for about 10 miles. Next, merge onto I-66 E/US-50 E via the ramp to Washington, entering the District of Columbia. Take the E Street ramp to I-66 E. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Kennedy Center/Whitehurst Frwy. and merge onto Potomac River Frwy. N. In half a mile, take the Whitehurst Frwy. exit. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Pennsylvania Avenue and merge onto L Street N.W. Make a slight right at Pennsylvania Avenue N.W. At Washington Circle N.W. (the first circle you come to), take the 5th exit onto New Hampshire Avenue N.W. Turn right at Dupont Circle N.W.

From the North (Maryland)

Take MD-295 S. Take the exit onto New York Avenue/US-50 W toward Washington, entering the District of Columbia. Turn right at 1st Street N.W. Turn left at P Street N.W. In about 1 mile, you will enter Logan Circle. At Logan Circle N.W., take the 5th exit onto Rhode Island Avenue N.W. In about another half mile, you will come to another circle—Scott Circle. At Scott Circle N.W., take the 2nd exit onto Massachusetts Avenue N.W. Turn right at Dupont Circle N.W.
